Wastewater technology

 ness.jpgabwassertechnik1.jpg

Because of legal regulations, the disposal of wastewater in abattoirs and meat handling companies is becoming an increasingly significant element (cost factor) in the production of consumable goods.

In order to evaluate (calculate) these costs in advance, it is important to be aware of the latest technological possibilities for the environmentally friendly and cost-efficient disposal of wastewater.

BERTSCHlaska delivers environmental compact facilities and components for the treatment of industrial wastewater. We deliver products of all dimensions, tailored to the demands of indirect or direct dischargers, in accordance with the legal regulations of the European Union or respective national jurisdiction.

Individual Solutions or Overall Concepts

+ Mechanical pre-cleaning: Removal of rough materials
+ Neutralisation
+ Mechanic-physico cleaning (preclarification)
+ Mechanic-chemical cleaning (preclarifiction)
+ Biological purification plant
+ Slurry treatment

Preclarification Units

Mechanic-physico cleaning - physico flotation units

After fine cleaning through a sieve, the water flows into the flotation unit. Fats and particle matter that cannot be dissolved are brought to the surface through the flotation process and fed into a collection pan by scrapers that can be configured to any speed desired. Upon the lapse of preconfigurable durations, settleable solids are again drained off from the settling cone into the pump shaft and removed through a repetitious cycle over the sieve. The flotation matter is feed through an ultrasound-controlled progressing cavity pump and the preclarfied wastewater flows into the outlet channel.

Mechanic-chemical cleaning - flotation units

For a maximum reduction of dirt load, a chemical purification stage using aluminium chloride and polyelectrolyte components can be undertaken. Through the AlCl3-supplement, particularly emulsified fats are coagulated and removed by the flotation process.

Biological purification plant

In addition to a preclarification unit, all materials that remain in the wastewater as dissolved materials are dispelled through biological purification.

Biological Wastewater Purification

+ Collection shafts - contact basin: Collection point and first contact with activated slurry and distribution of material flows
+ Aeration tanks: aerobic disintegration of dissolved dirt load through microorganisms and disintegration of nitrates

Physico Post-purification

+ Settling basin: Separation of the water-sludge-mix in large hydraulic quantities
+ Sedimentation ponds and separate sludge-stacking-basin: Separation of the water-sludge-mix through static layering, running off of clean water, storage and thickening in the sludge-stacking-basin with the recirculation of turbid water.
+ Sludge Thickening: Mechanical sludge thickening to increased quantities of dry matter (increase of up to 17% and more)

Additional features

+ Neutralization: through dosing acids or bases, effluent is neutralized (6-8 pH)
+ Flocculent (e.g. polyelectrolyte): Flocculent must be processed for use in undiluted form (0,1 - 0,5%)
+ Phosphate precipitation: elimination of phosphates for the maintenance of parameter values through precipitation with Fe³Cl

Customer-oriented service offers, individual advice, responsible project management and a cost-conscientious team that thinks from your perspective ensures you an optimal solution to your needs.
